Hi! I'm Jalen. 

Thank you for taking the time to look through some of my favourite images - they were taken with love and are shared the same way.

 A little about me as a human: I’m a daughter, sister, wife, auntie and friend (and acquaintance, I suppose..?). I believe that my life is defined by the grace that I’ve received. I love to sing, act and dance. I’m a professional improvisor and actor and I love to laugh. Sometimes when I listen to the radio it's for the sole purpose of figuring out what my next karaoke song could be. I love (need) coffee. I don't know much about wine but I’m a big fan, I am married to a fellow artist (actor/musician) who is sweet and silly - my favourite combo! I speak passible french and can throw a mean softball. 

I love living in Vancouver.

A little about me as a photographer: When it comes to pictures, I believe that being able to capture moments in life through photography is a gift. I count myself very blessed to share in other people's stories and I don’t ever want to take this privilege for granted. I think that truthful moments are the sweetest moments and pride myself on capturing candid interactions, even in a more formal session. 

My favourite photos are of my clients laughing. I LOVE capturing joy, so that’s what my photography is all about!
